Nautilus Launches “CHIQUITITAS” Tamale Flavored Tortilla Chips

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BEVERAGE MARKETING)--May 5, 2021--John Gonzales, Chief Operating Officer for Nautilus International, Inc., announced today on this Cinco de Mayo national holiday the launch of CHIQUITITAS Tamale Flavored Tortilla Chips. The new patent pending premium USDA certified organic stone ground masa tortilla chips are being developed for manufacturing by Los Angeles-based Snak King and will initially retail for about "three dollars'' for an eight ounce bag in Mexican Restaurants and in the Supermarket produce section next to the guacamole and the fresh salsa.

Tour Dates

CHIQUITITAS Tamale Flavored Tortilla Chips are end-baked, all natural and have no cholesterol or trans fats, and are designed to satisfy your craving for a Spicy Mexican Tamale in a gourmet restaurant style tortilla chip. Nautilus’ CHIQUITITAS Tamale Flavored Tortilla Chips are in a new category as they’re the first and only tortilla-style chip made from tamale masa instead of ground corn. This difference results in a more delicate “la hoja de maíz'' flavor that’s irresistible straight out the bag or perfect when dipping guacamole and traditional salsas.

“Tortilla chips are a part of Mexican Cuisine, but were actually invented at Disneyland, in a restaurant named “Casa de Fritos” by cutting leftover tortillas into triangles and then frying them. The “nacho” chips were launched by Frito-Lay in 1966,” said Gonzales.
